The Story of Sea Star Arts

Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey—one where I get to capture love, adventure, and the raw, beautiful moments that make life so special. Every couple I meet, every story I document, and every place I explore adds to the magic of what I do. But before we embark on this experience together, let me share how Sea Star Arts came to be.

A Sea Star is more than just a delicate ocean creature—it’s a symbol of resilience, healing, and infinite beauty. Also known as starfish or basket stars, these fascinating creatures glide effortlessly through the sea, adapting and thriving in their ever-changing surroundings. They remind me of the power of love—the ability to grow, to heal, and to shine even in life’s most unexpected moments.

The name Sea Star is deeply personal. My lifelong friend, sister, and fellow artist, Lizabee, and I have been creating together since we were little girls. With artists as parents, we were always encouraged to dream big, create fearlessly, and give generously. Over the years, our shared passion for art became something bigger—a way to support, inspire, and uplift others. From painting Beaufort Mermaids to giving back to meaningful causes, we poured our hearts into creating something that would last far beyond us.

Photography became my way of giving back—not just to the incredible families I’ve supported through organizations like Operation R&R and the Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center, but to every couple who trusts me to document their love story. Your elopement, your micro-wedding, your quiet, intimate vows by the sea—these are the moments that deserve to be preserved forever.
